Norm’s Refrigeration and Ice Equipment Inc. facilitates the warranty procedures for the manufacturers we represent. Many of our service partners already make warranty claims directly with the factories, and we encourage them to do so. However, we can submit a warranty claim on behalf of any licensed refrigeration contractor who chooses not to deal with the factory directly. The repair date must not exceed 30 days from the warranty submission date. For us to make a claim, we must have:
• The original failed part returned to us within 30 days of the repair (if under parts warranty). In some cases, for service companies who carry truckstock, we can exchange the old part for a new part, providing all of the other information is received.
• A copy of the invoice where the part was purchased (if other than us). We will accept other parts purchases only if the part was not available from us. We make every effort to stock the necessary replacement parts here at our warehouse.
• A copy of the warranty repair invoice, listing the 3 C’s. The COMPLAINT, CAUSE, and CORRECTION. We must also have the serial number of the equipment listed on the bill.
We will submit the repair bill, and reimburse the repair company for the ALLOWABLE LABOR from the factory; after we are paid We will not be responsible for additional charges, including freight.
The warranties for the following factories are:
ICE-O-MATIC; 3 years parts and labor (cubers), 2 years parts and labor (flakers) and 5 years compressor and evaporator (part only).
TRUE REFRIGERATION; 1-year parts and labor, 5 years compressor. (Part only).
*KELVINATOR REFRIGERATION; 1-year parts and labor, 5 years compressor (part only). Contact 1-800-486-8369 for warranty dispatch approval
VOGT TUBE-ICE
1-year parts and Labor, 5 years compressor (part only). 25 year- tube-ice evaporator
